Unionising to fight austerity

September 30 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Free

Artists Union England, the collective voice of artists living and working in England are hosting an information sharing event with Manchester Peoples Assembly during the Tory Party Conference week in Manchester.

AUE, launched five years ago at a time of severe government funding cuts, share their experience of organising freelance, precarious workers into a campaigning trade union with benefits.

AUE builds alliances with campaign groups and trade unions in order to fight the government’s austerity measures, attacks on art education, exposing the unworkable Universal Credit and gentrification of our towns and cities.

Come along to this information sharing event, find out first hand why you should be in a union.   What’s your experience of living in or being an artist in Manchester?

Open to members and non-members.
