Artists’ Union England Annual General Meeting

Saturday 29 June 2024, 2 - 4 pm

In-person at Chelsea Space, Chelsea School of Arts, UAL / and online via Zoom

Available to members of AUE only

Take part in AUE’s Annual General Meeting online on Saturday 29 June – please make a note of the date in your diaries!

The AGM is an important part of the democratic processes of the union. The main purpose of the AGM is to enable members to meet, discuss and agree on the policies, priorities and direction of the union that will form the basis of the work of the National Executive Committee and agree on any rule changes where necessary.

This year we are holding a hybrid meeting both in-person at Chelsea Space, Chelsea School of Arts, UAL and online via Zoom from 2-4 pm. Please note there is limited capacity to attend in-person due to the room size and we will allocate bookings on a first come-first served basis. If you are unsuccessful in booking an in-person ticket please tick to register for both, and you will be sent the Zoom link for the online meeting.

Please book via Eventbrite to receive the meeting link.

Further details of the shape of the AGM and an agenda will be shared shortly.

Policy Proposals

Policy proposals (we recommend 3 as a maximum per member) can be submitted by any member or group of members in writing by 1 June at the latest.

Emergency Proposals are accepted in the event of changed circumstances after this deadline and will be accepted at the discretion of the executive up until the morning of the meeting.

Proposals agreed at the AGM will inform the work of the executive over the next year. Do please note that proposals should be realistic, practical and achievable and have a maximum of 200 words.  If the executive receives 2 or more proposals that are similar they may combine them, with the consent of the proposers.

Please download the  AUE Policy Proposal Form 2024 and return it to: info@artistsunionengland.org.uk

You may wish to look at the 2023 Approved Proposals for reference – these remain AUE policy and do not need to be repeated or refreshed.

Submissions should be no longer than 200 words.

We look forward to seeing you at the AGM!

Remember the union belongs to all of us, and its future direction, policies and priorities are set by us, as members!
